After a week of glorious sunshine, Sunday turned chilly, but that didn’t stop Bletchley St Martins from hosting a spirited friendly against North Crawley.

Despite the colder conditions, it was an enjoyable afternoon of bowls, with both teams putting in strong performances.

The match was closely contested, finishing two rinks apiece. However, St Martins just edged out the overall win.

A few supporters braved the weather to cheer the teams on, adding to the atmosphere.

The afternoon was rounded off with a lovely tea and plenty of good-natured banter – a hallmark of these friendly fixtures.

We’re already looking forward to the return match in July!
