President’s Autumn Address
So we have come to the end of yet another season, this year was a nearly year, with two semi-finals, Don King and Steve Jackson/Paul Sapwell almost getting to Leamington, it’s some consolation that you are the best in Bucks.
We were so close in the Ray Keen league, where Dynamo St Martins got promoted and two others just fell short.
Off the green we have our first ever Presentation Lunch on the 26th October, unfortunately, I will not be there to present the trophies as I inadvertently booked a week’s holiday from the 25th October, not knowing what was being planned. I hope all those who attend enjoy the afternoon.
My President’s Day raised £251 for Prostate Cancer UK and our Charity Day raised another £260, with the raffle and other donations we managed to get the total to £1100 for which I would like to thank all of you.
After discussing things with Lesley & Chris, it was decided to donate £200 to the local Prostate Cancer Support Group as they do a lot of work with local sufferers and families, also we are going to allow them to use the clubhouse for some testing sessions.
The other £900 is going to the main Prostate Cancer UK fund.
So as they say winter well and if I don’t see you indoors I’ll see you through the window.
Cheers,
Colin
