Triples Championship Day a Great Success
What a fantastic Triples championship day, 42 competitors and many spectators enjoying not only a cracking BBQ served up by Chris Pollard, Phil Emerson and Liz Philips and a well run bar thanks to Tony Saunders and Jane Hartley but also included a hard fought tournament of 14 matches with two teams eventually emerging victors to go forward to the Finals weekend.
A big THANKYOU to everyone (and there were many of you) who participated and helped on the day, great team spirit, with the odd signs of despair and glee shon in the photos attached.
The Final will be between Team Pete Brazier, Brain Pell and Alan Gilman v Team Rob Burgess, Phil Roberts and Kathryn Emerson and promises to be an exciting final.
Be there to watch some exciting bowls over the finals weekend.
Tickets for the finals are FREE…… and the Bar will be Open.
Our next big club internal competition is on the Sunday 7th September and is The Club Rinks day, which will run a similar format to the Triples day, the entries are now full and closed but if you are not playing come along and watch, everyone is welcome.
