The atmosphere was tense at times with some very closely fought battles being decided on the very last bowl. Well done to all of the competitors over the weekend for making it such an enjoyable championship.
Thankyou also to the 26 Members who supported the championships by helping out over both days, the camaraderie was incredible as were the Cakes and BBQ. We trialled using the paddles in the singles for the first time and the Markers who did an excellent job got used to them after an end or two which went well, we also introduced our 'Flippers’ (Courtesy of Lin Burdetts idea) who did a sterling job turning the scoreboards and keeping the games flowing,
All in all it was a really competitive but friendly and enjoyable weekend, but dont forget the Awards Presentation Lunch where the trophies will be presented to Winners and there will be Runners up trophies as well. I believe there may still be a few tickets left.
Thankyou everyone for making this a thrills and fun packed day
