Yesterday, 13th September, we welcomed our friends from Stony Stratford for our penultimate game of the season, played across 5 rinks.
The afternoon began with a brief delay as rain and thunder rolled in, but spirits remained high and the weather soon cleared, allowing us to start just 10 minutes later than planned.
Once underway, both teams enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of bowls, played in a friendly yet competitive spirit. St Martins emerged victorious, finishing with a score of 85 to Stony Stratford’s 78.
The day was made even more special with a delightful tea and homemade cakes, courtesy of our birthday girl, Janet Reynolds.
A big thank you to Janet and to everyone who contributed to making the afternoon such a success.
